EGU General Assembly 2020

Online 4-8 May 2020.

The European Geosciences Union (EGU) is the leading organisation for Earth, planetary and space science research in Europe. With partner organisations worldwide, they foster fundamental geoscience research, alongside applied research that addresses key societal and environmental challenges. Their vision is to realise a sustainable and just future for humanity and for the planet.

The Annual General Assembly of the EGU is Europe's largest and most prominent geosciences events and attracts more than 16,000 scientist from across the world. Due to the risks caused by COVID-19 the 2020 assembly has been cancelled and replaced by an online event EGU2020: Sharing Geoscience Online (#shareEGU20).

Zurich Flood Resilience Alliance colleagues from partners Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment at London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA), Zurich Insurances, and Practical Action will be attending the online event to share knowledge on flood resilience.
