In 2019 24.9 million people were displaced by disasters, the vast majority weather related. The Global Report on Internal Displacement (GRID) is the authoritative source of data and analysis on the risk, scale and impacts of internal displacement worldwide. The report offers insights into key challenges and opportunities in addressing and preventing displacement. It also highlights areas that require increased investment at local, national and global levels. GRID 2020 focuses on solutions to internal displacement, sharing best practise and providing examples of where governments have stepped up in increasing their knowledge, capacity and political will to address the issue. You can access both the 12 page summary and the full report here.
