Improving the use of mobile technologies in Disaster Risk Management
In October 2020, the Science for Humanitarian Emergencies and Resilience (SHEAR) Programme hosted a virtual workshop which explored the use of mobile technologies to support disaster risk management. The workshop brought together members from across the SHEAR programme and invited perspectives from the wider Disaster Risk Management community to share their experiences.
This video summarises the key learning from this workshop, namely: how mobiles phones are used in disaster risk management, what opportunities and lessons have been learned throughout the various projects, and key lessons of mobile use in Disaster Risk Management.
